5 Positive Motivators to keep you going in tough times

5 Positive Motivators to keep you going in tough times, along with some personal testimony of mine.

1. Staying focused and Positive. Use Affirmations, for example:

*I will remain focused on my goal as I work steadily towards it.

This has been challenging facing the sweeping changes on social media

2. Balancing the challenges with acknowledgement and immediate, solution based ideas.

*I know that my best work is yet to come.

3. With all of the rapid and sweeping changes taking place, rely on what IS actually reliable, and where you can meet people for feedback and interaction. Social media has been a real drain and not at all helpful with their extreme censorship on very important topics. So, Forward that happy email instead, we all need more of that right now. I like E-cards like Cross cards daily as well as Victorian Trading Co. where they offer a free E-card delivery service of lovely Victorian greetings. Get in the habit of writing through email, ease into current events and important articles, but be sure to balance it out as well, with happy updates, on cooking, sharing, family, holidays and love. Don’t be sad if you have no family, adopt your friends! I did and it works, no burden, pain, just love and appreciation, for their gifts in your life and theirs in yours. It’s a win, win!  Once you realize the ripple effect, what it means, and how it impacts others, you want to be present as well as a positive link in that chain.
Despite the challenges due to censorship, people appreciate the message and are grateful to receive it.

*Where there is a will, there is a way. I will make it happen.

Find an alternative route. (Email, take time to grow new social media sites)

4. Do what you love! Bring out that art project, bake that new recipe, kick your heels up and have fun! The best way to heal our environment is to change it up and truly enjoy the space. Soon, those that are around us, will meet us on our vibe.

*I will take time for art without feeling guilty, as I create happy things for my friends and my surroundings.

Make homemade gifts for people, it’s fun! You don’t need to be a super creative master crafter to be sweet and thoughtful. Some of the very best gifts are from the heart, so go for it! Make that special batch of homemade soap or candles you’ve always wanted to try, who knows, they might come out AMAZING!! Go for it! Or just fill a mason jar with a variety of beans making a “mosaic bean soup,” you can do this with hot cocoa too, and make it super cute with cinnamon sticks and peppermint, there’s no end to the fun, smore’s jars are another, why not!? Make it happen, get creative.

5. Go for it, Do all the things, inspire others, and share the love. Here’s an extra fun goodie I like to do personally when I send a Christmas card. I like to send a favorite recipe, oftentimes one passed down from my mom, (she was such a great cook!) on a cute recipe card. Add that extra little goodie, always. Never script on that “extra touch,” it really makes a big impression. A little twig, a peppermint, a cute wispy cluster of leaves and berries, stickers, stamping, whatever brings a happy thought to the heart that you wish to share with others. It really means so much now, more than ever. I have been making my dear friends and now patrons too, the most beautiful little journals and paper goodies for fun. Much of this is super thrifty and can be made from junk mail! Videos coming soon on this. So enjoy the holidays, and like Pam from the Paper Outpost says, “Create with Reckless abandon!” She’s one of my favorite paper crafting ladies on Youtube that really has some fun and awesome ideas for paper crafting. 🙂

*I will remain open in finding new and creative outlets any where I can, especially if it might uplift others.

If it makes me happy, it’s worth sharing that joy, we all need it now. With an each one teach one mentality in our minds and hearts, we can surely save this world. It’s all about balance, so don’t be hard on yourself.

Lots of Love to all, take it easy and enjoy your holiday season. Don’t fret, take time out for the little things. Add that extra sparkle, bow, or treat. To brighten someones day right now, is absolutely pricelss. So please Do all those awesome things you wanted to do without guilt or regret, now is the time, and your efforts will surely shine.
